Oh I assure you Jim can play that bass! If you get a chance look up a song called “Faster than snakes with a ball and chain”, an absolutely mind boggling tune that mysteriously was never released in full other than on a rareities compilation. The bass line is the stuff of legend, so startling in fact it almost feels out of place, well it would on any other song except a cardiacs one, such being the band they are.
