Ever wandered the cobbled streets of Ankh-Morpork in your imagination, or wondered whether Death speaks in all caps? Then mark your calendar. On Sunday 28 April, The Magic of Terry Pratchett show comes to the Duchess Theatre London for a one-off event celebrating the life and legacy of the beloved author.

Hosted by Marc Burrows – comedian, writer, and lifelong Pratchett devotee – this unique evening blends stand-up, storytelling, and conversation in a heartfelt tribute to one of the most widely read authors in the world. Think of it as part comedy show, part literary lecture, and part warm hug for the soul.

The first half of the show is based on Burrows’ Locus Award-winning biography, taking audiences on a whirlwind journey through Pratchett’s life, career, and impact – with jokes, licensed media, and maybe a few wizard hats thrown in for good measure.

But some real magic happens in Act Two

With a live on-stage chat featuring some very special guests. Among them: Rhianna Pratchett, Terry’s daughter and a successful writer in her own right, known for her work on Rise of the Tomb Raider, comics for DC and Marvel, and most recently, co-authoring Tiffany Aching’s Guide to Being a Witch. Joining her will be comedian and podcaster Dan Schreiber (No Such Thing As A Fish, The Cryptid Factor), plus a mystery guest who promises to be a major figure from the Pratchett universe.

The show lands on what would have been Terry’s 77th birthday, making it more than just an event – it’s a celebration. Expect laughs, nostalgia, and probably a few tears, as the panel reflects on the enduring power of Discworld and Pratchett’s personal advocacy for causes like dementia research and the right to die.

Whether you’re a seasoned Discworld traveller or just dipping your toes into the turtle-powered multiverse, this one’s for you.
