With a career spanning over six decades, Stevie Wonder has defined brilliant music with extraordinary musicianship and songwriting. A child prodigy, he became the youngest artist to top the US charts at just 12 years old with Fingertips Part 2. Since then, he’s racked up a staggering 49 Top 40 singles, 32 number ones, and sold over 100 million records worldwide.
But Stevie Wonder isn’t just a musical genius – he’s also a relentless humanitarian and activist. From helping establish Martin Luther King Day as a national holiday, to his pivotal role in We Are The World, and fighting apartheid in South Africa, Stevie’s influence runs far beyond the stage.
Among his 25 Grammy Awards, Lifetime Achievement Award, Oscar, Golden Globe, and Kennedy Center Honors, Wonder has also been decorated with the Presidential Medal of Freedom and is a United Nations Messenger of Peace, advocating for people with disabilities.
His legendary album, Songs in the Key of Life, with tracks like Sir Duke and Pastime Paradise, has been added to the US Library of Congress for its cultural impact. And his contributions to music were most recently honored with the George Peabody Medal in 2024.
